Two-dimensional porous carbon nanosheets are single-layer or few-layer nanomaterials (thickness 1–10 nm) composed of sp²-hybridized carbon atoms, featuring abundant mesoporous/microporous structures (pore size 2–50 nm, specific surface area 500–1500 m²/g). Their planar layered structure provides a high specific surface area and short ion diffusion paths, while the porous nature enhances electrolyte wettability, along with high electrical conductivity (conductivity >10³ S/m), chemical stability, and lightweight properties (density 0.5–1.5 g/cm³). When used as electrode materials for supercapacitors and lithium/sodium-ion batteries, they can significantly improve charge storage capacity and rate performance; they are also suitable for gas adsorption, catalytic supports, and sensors, meeting the synergistic demands of efficient mass transfer and high-activity surfaces.
