Soft carbon fiber cloth is a flexible nanocomposite material made from nanoscale soft carbon fibers (diameter 5–10 microns, containing amorphous carbon and short-range ordered structures) through orderly weaving. It has a thickness of 0.1–0.5 mm and a areal density of 100–500 g/m². It features high flexibility (can be bent over 10⁵ times), excellent electrical conductivity (conductivity >10³ S/m), and good chemical stability. The interwoven fiber structure forms a three-dimensional conductive network. When used as a flexible electrode material in lithium/sodium-ion batteries, it supports high-rate charge and discharge (>5C) and enhances cycle life (>1500 cycles). It can also be used as an electromagnetic shielding layer, a thermal conductive substrate, and a lightweight structural reinforcement material, making it suitable for wearable devices, flexible electronics, and new energy fields, meeting the combined requirements of flexibility and conductivity.
